ours is relatively low for a family of 6. Water will sit on my insert for hours and never absorb. You need to be sure youre washing AT LEAST every other day and if youre experiencing so many problems washing every day is going to be more ideal. I just did an overnight soak in RNG and then a soak in Funk Rock. I dont think it works 100% but I notice a vast improvement. So anyway, we tried other laundry detergents which seemed to help for a little while, then returned to RnG (Classic, not Hard Rock should have tried the Hard Rock, I guess) with tons of extra water extra rinses, second and third cycles without detergent. I would think just attacking the ammonia directly might work after converting the urea to ammonia through he use of high heat. Rockin Green probably isnt pulling color from the fabric (Richardson says he couldnt find any ingredients in the product that would be harmful to clothing dye). Forget everything that you have heard, and keep it simple. With my battle with ammonia, what I have found to work for my cloth chinese prefolds and Econo-bum covers is: Place 1/2 cup grocery store borax in with the diapers and covers Run a prewash cycle with 1/2 cup of Bac-Out Wash cycle with 1/2 tablespoon Nellies Laundry Soda and 1 tablespoon of Nellies Oxygen Brightener.
