Deaf people rely on vision to see something boiling not being able to hear the boiling in the pot. I love these pans and needed to add to my set!!! I prefer an open pan versus a kettle for heating water because I have yet to meet a kettle that doesn't need to be washed internally.

They just don't make them like they used to! You wont go wrong with these pots! The pan heats up quite well and evenly.
