This forum is for people asking for advice on design. I purchased a 1400 series trim kit thinking I could just change it out. Are body jets in a shower worth installing? The trim kit is not what is going to be important here, rather what is important is which valve you have specifically installed inside the wall. It would not be a good idea to install and then later find out it won't be compatible. As if their customer service people knew even less than I did and were looking everything up (as if I hadn't tried that). 
Unfortunately I'm not able to say if the R2709 valve is an acceptable substitute for use with your Arzo trim kit. It's full volume or nothing. We are confused on how to design this shower. When I removed the 1700 series cartridge, there is still some white plastic in the back of the valve.

vero For example WS = with stops, PX = PEX, HF = high-flow etc. Replacing a stall shower surround with tile. Fixing your dripping tub or shower faucet by replacing the cartridge will save water and keep you from buying an entire new faucet.
Therefore, unless you plan to replace the rough in valve its important to identify your existing wall valve before making a purchase. all in one room where you can see more than one fixture at a time.

It would be better, however, if the finish is a match in the same room at least, that is the case if you care about symmetry and balance; then you probably wouldn't like seeing different finishes ( black and shiny chrome and matte finish and gold or copper toned, etc.) And what are the differences between different Delta cartridges. I think I understand that each system will be on opposite 42 short ends of the shower and will have their own thermostatic valve to control temp on each 3 components of the system system.

It also raises my eyebrows when I think someone is posting for (subtle or not) advertising purposes, but I also appreciated this info.

You can use any 14 or 17 series trim kit with any R10000 series valve. If you stack the floor tile, you should lay the wall tile the same way. I will let you know that Delta is really a high quality product though so having their valves in the wall is definitely not a problem long term. multichoice shower
Still in package, never used, in case anyone is interested. But what FaucetList just told you is correct. This forum is for people asking for advice on design. I purchased a 1400 series trim kit thinking I could just change it out. Are body jets in a shower worth installing? The trim kit is not what is going to be important here, rather what is important is which valve you have specifically installed inside the wall. It would not be a good idea to install and then later find out it won't be compatible. As if their customer service people knew even less than I did and were looking everything up (as if I hadn't tried that). 
Unfortunately I'm not able to say if the R2709 valve is an acceptable substitute for use with your Arzo trim kit. It's full volume or nothing. We are confused on how to design this shower. When I removed the 1700 series cartridge, there is still some white plastic in the back of the valve. The information about being able to use a different brand faucet (I want Moen) in a bathroom sink that has been roughed in (Delta) was very helpful!Thank you. However, the 1400 series cartridge does not seem to fit with that piece of plastic left in place. vero For example WS = with stops, PX = PEX, HF = high-flow etc. Replacing a stall shower surround with tile. Fixing your dripping tub or shower faucet by replacing the cartridge will save water and keep you from buying an entire new faucet.
Therefore, unless you plan to replace the rough in valve its important to identify your existing wall valve before making a purchase. all in one room where you can see more than one fixture at a time.

I think I understand that each system will be on opposite 42 short ends of the shower and will have their own thermostatic valve to control temp on each 3 components of the system system.
