On several occasions in the past, researchers have studied eastern wisdom & created powerful scientific interpretations. I was browsing The Body Shop fragrances when the EDP version of Black Musk caught my eye. There's something relaxing about the blend, intriguing even. I can see the similarity to Black opium except it doesn't have the coffee note which I personally prefer. 
In the beginning it smells good, but when the dry down part in the end comes in, it all smells the same unpleasant plastic sweaty sweet smell. Dark but charming. :). In a desperate bid to find something wintery and also affordable, I finally tried this fragrance today. When I smell it from the bottle's nozzle, it smells strongly of vanilla but when I spray it in the air or on anywhere else, including my hand, it smells strongly of musk to me & I can barely detect any other note. It's not a dupe for YSL Black Opium but in the same scent family. But anyway love the sweet vanilla scent , kinda reminds me of YSL Black Opium. Perhaps the eau de parfum or eau de toilette have better sillage lengths. Longevity? my mum absolutely loves this perfume too and were countless bottles in now. I have the EDP. However, rarely, has anyone looked at science & Eastern Wisdom, and brought forth leadership distinctions & practices. naheed parfum donn The musk and vanilla in the drydown have a slight Britney Spears Fantasy vibe. It features top notes of pear, pink pepper and bergamot; middle notes of heliotrope, marzipan, almond, ylang-ylang and licorice; and base notes of black vanilla, black musk, patchouli, vetiver and chocolate. Of course, it depends on the wearer individually. I like this so much more than black opium. You can safely add the oil to a lotion to give it more real estate on your skin, or even better yet add another frag on top like La Nuit Tresor, or Chopard Wish, or La Petit Robe Noir, or really ANY chocolate and/or vanilla licorice scent. First impressions: lovely blend, in the beginning I thought it was cherry combined with musk, but as it warms up on the skin it turns deeper, smoother, creamier, borderline gourmand; wearable. Sad because I think it would become one of my favorites if it lasted at all. It's quickly become a favorite. Black opium vibes, loving the coffee and pear in it. it's nothing like that, it opens very sweet compared to surrender, I can't recognise other notes besides strong vanilla. 
I don't find that the name "Black musk" suits it very well. But the longevity is like 2 hours, it disappears, Been obsessed with this fragrance for years, smells so sexy. This is one of my favorite perfumes! I usually choose Vanilla EDT or the fruit series (not a fan of white musk at all!!!) All of the musk series from TBS are the same plastic note! And Tolmis, not that expensive, whose main notes are iris, sandalwood and praline, lasts for 7/8 hours with moderate sillage (and natural ingredients, just like Creed). I love this :). From the initial spray I find peppery scent followed by warmth and sweetness, but not so sweet (don't be mistaken, I am a sweet tooth person). Black Musk is a deep sensual musk fragrance that was created by Ralf Schwieger and Cecile Matton and launched in 2015. Can somebody please tell me if the fragrance in the lotion is strong enough, or is the EDT or parfum better? Although the oil version just sits on my skin. This is such a well-balanced fragrance, i really love it! It's a surreal experience, and very disappointing, because it sounds luscious. Isn't it available in the U.S.? 
For what it is, I really love having this in my collection. But of course this amazing swoonworthy smell almost immediately begins to fade. Not worth your money. I would prefer the Red musk every hour, every day. In any case, I like both. This is a fine, but very basic and barely there kind of scent. Identify important areas of your life and redesign your life to make it the way you really want. have the perfume-oil in the 'ink-bottle' ( bottle is nice + recyclable ;) ) , NOT strong enough. Couldn't be happier with the scent! The sweet notes of bambinella pear, pink pepper and bergamot are contrasted with the fierce black musk. 
Nice, but not interesting enough for me. Still, my favorite from this brand right now. Hot black vanilla, musk black, earthy patchouli, vetiver and chocolate end the composition. The body mist lasted longer than the perfume oil??!! I couldn't smell any licorice in it. Pretty disappointed. Thanks! I'm not a fan of patchouli but this is well blended enough that it adds depth instead of taking over. I had an amazing impression at first, but quickly lost it. It's more bareable in the heat too than Black Opium which I strictly consider a winter scent. But for me, love love love that I actually hoarded a 100mL bottle just after a week of using the 60mL bottle. I love The Body Shop products, but their fragrances unfortunately don't last on my skin. The perfume lasted a bit longer. WHERE are you finding Black Musk? Definitely a winner. musk It stays close to the skin, but it's a wrist crack. Longevity is great on clothing. Idk, never smell it lol). 
It's gourmand sweet with sexy and musky notes. It calls attention to itself, but it is not intrusive.
After my 3rd purchase I realized I'm addicted to it LOL it is perfectly blended, sexy perfume made for cuddles :) I'd say it would suit women of all ages. I'm curious about the spray version, but the oil is very nice.
On its own it has a clean, sultry musk with a well blended patchouli that's just present enough to provide a hint of sex appeal. In fact, I have body sprays that last longer than this "EDT". Delightful scent. Considering the 3-5 sprays I use each application and the number of times I have to reapply, I imagine that this won't last long. I don't see it on their website. The mist version lasting longer than the edt and edp version on me :|. It represents a contrast between light, sweet flavors and dark musk with oriental woods. i like how accessible the body shop fragrances are as you can get some quality perfumes without breaking the bank. Unfortunately it let me down, it does not last long on the skin and i feel it leaves an alcoholic smell on my clothes, as if i have been drinking and spilled some on me. A waste of a great name and packaging. At IGL-India, we see that when you live in the way it is distinguished above, you are also leading, and the distinction between living and leading collapses. I get Black Cherry Vanilla Coke-a-Cola. This is like a baby La Nuit Tresor with the licorice note, which I love. It's a love for me!

I tried this on today. To me it's like a much more interesting and wearable Hypnotic Poison. Layering with Jovan Musk makes it last all day with soft projection. But upon receiving my 30ml bottle of this, I was so disappointed- it smells so plain and boringly sweet. It somehow walks the line between a gourmand and a clean fragrance. When I reapplied at home, I initially got a big blast of chocolate and got worried that I made the wrong choice. It is fruity gourmand, similar to what others have said. This is my favorite of all of Bodyshop's Fragrance. I don't mind bringing it with me for reapplication though, since it is not that expensive. I have the EDT. Should also add that I don't find this scent particularly gourmand, either. Used to be my signature. I have purchased other Body Shop perfume oils in the past and the longevity was always great. No! I love this scent from the first sniffed, it's sweet rich a little bit warm but not overwhelming. Black Musk by The Body Shop is a Woody Floral Musk fragrance for women. I get licorice and less vanilla. Only because I couldn't smell them properly as they appeared to be light. Red musk, Smoky Rose, white Musk, black musk, all of them are sweet with a sweaty note in it. Fragrantica Trends is a relative value that shows the interest of Fragrantica members in this fragrance over time. Its more tart and fresh than that basic black opium dna. This can absolutely be worn on its own but I usually layer this with other perfumes. Warm musky deep sweet yummy vanilla.
Hopefully will be able to find these products in the U.S. 
It smelt pleasant but subtle, I was unable to discern notes as described. Strange.. Spritz over the body after bathing or showering. It also has a great longevity. (Black Musk EDP version) Opening very similar to Poison Girl but less spicy, loses that quickly and progressively until it becomes another scent. This is a new fragrance. I must admit I'm rather obsessed with Black Musk, the EDT is good, but the EDP is superb, it's so rich and dark, the notes are beautifully dark and heady. Very simple and casual and used to be my signature. 
Was expecting something different based on the name. The EDP is so much better on me than the EDT, which I dismissed out of hand. Lovely scent with the wrong name. Its a scent that i think majority of people love. Tried both the oil and the spray. I see this is also available as a lotion. You start to live and lead your life in the true sense. When I picked the Black Musk tester off the shelf at The Body Shop, the fragrance smelled exactly how I expected it to smell and I liked it enough to buy a full bottle. I have a perfume parlour spray bottle of black opium which is a very good match and it only cost me 8 pounds so I wont be buying this.

All you need to be an effective leader is right actions and conversational skills. There should be no chocolate in the notes; just "chocolate-like vetiver note".

Plastic smell with some rotten fruit. Now I have a bottle (perfume oil) and I can say it's good. The EDT opens dark and fruity, like a nice dessert of cooked pears with vanilla and licorice or anise. I look forward to licorice and ylang-ylang, together. However, it doesn't last long on me (around an hour or two at most), so it was a bit disappointing.
