Took it to a mechanic who said I need to see a body shop and estimated it is probably a $2,000 repair. 15-0194 indicating that shock absorbers may be defective. The extra stress on the shock absorber caused the bolt on the top to break off. I have also, just recently, developed a leak at the rear main seal. The shock is hanging there, unattached. I understand not repairing normal wear and tear but there are too many people with the exact same issue to think that this isn't just coincidence. The passenger side rear wheel well is so bad that the dealership service department indicated that it is not repairable and referred us to their body shop.
