I think the festool has a better cut quality than the bosch, DC is a plus, chip free cuts, the blades are a bit thicker which helps making curved cuts w/o deflection, easily set back to 90 degrees, has less vibration,etc. Ignoring of course that resawing and curves on thick peices would be impossible on any jigsaw? There is no real reason to spend $100 more for the festool. This incredible cut depth makes it suitable to work on thick materials. As Festool is a German company, most of their tool codes are abbreviations for German words. Overall I am very pleased with it.

I think the festool has a better cut quality than the bosch, DC is a plus, chip free cuts, the blades are a bit thicker which helps making curved cuts w/o deflection, easily set back to 90 degrees, has less vibration,etc. Ignoring of course that resawing and curves on thick peices would be impossible on any jigsaw? There is no real reason to spend $100 more for the festool. This incredible cut depth makes it suitable to work on thick materials. As Festool is a German company, most of their tool codes are abbreviations for German words. Overall I am very pleased with it.
